The Full Story

Red Rock Canyon State Park
Est. 1956

In 2017, the Oklahoma Department of Tourism & Recreation published a list of state parks it would be closing due to budget reduction. Red Rock Canyon State Park was closed at that time. The City of Hinton stepped up to fill the gap to keep Red Rock Canyon open and thriving.

Here’s where we come in…in the Fall of 2023, business partners Bud Patterson and Jesse & Christina Roberge partnered with Thiel, ultimately purchasing the LLC in early 2024. This set a course for much needed infrastructure repairs and enhancements, overland and 4x4 trails, beautiful glamping experiences, additional hiking trails and so much more.

Our mission at Red Rock Canyon Adventure Park is to provide a premium outdoor experience for all who visit. Our goal is to make it easy to be outside, experiencing the soul rejuvenation provided by nature. body, soul, spirit…Red Rock is the place that restores.
